David

I have a brother, I know him well

He has my mother's heart and my father's smile

We've never met face to face

Life has separated us by many a mile.

He played with trains and uncles and aunts

"Hold on to that stick while Daddy lifts it high"

He lived his whole life in just three years

And then the Lord called him home in the sky.

What could have been, What could have been?

That's a question where we must never dwell

For if we believe God's plans are best

Then we can say, with my soul it is well.

A small foot can leave a clear impression

When the path it crosses is in soft sand

God looks for a heart that can be molded

When he looks for a woman and a man.
